'Closing in, the south summit of Beinn Liath Mhor', Acrylic and Pastel, 2018, 80x80 cm Ref: 400 Price: £2500 Region: North West Highlands About the painting: A few years ago Nita and I attempted to climb Beinn Liath Mhor, a Munro that lies to the north of Glen Carron. We thought we would have time to walk it’s fairly long ridge, but by the time we had reached it’s southern top, the bad weather forecast for the evening, had arrived ……six hours early! The cloud moved in rapidly, building up on one side of the ridge before periodically spewing over to cover everything. It was obvious that our plans had to change and a retreat back down to the car was called for ……but not before we sat and watched the weather close in. This painting is the result of our time at the southern summit of Beinn Liath Mhor.
