'Early evening, Loch Glendhu, Sutherland', Acrylic & Pastel, 2019, 30 x 30 cm Ref: 417 Price £750 Region: North West Highlands About this painting We have visited the Kylesku area of Assynt and Sutherland a good number of times now, slowly exploring it and climbing it’s various hills. Last May, we spent a day walking tracks above and along the northern side of Loch Glendhu. It had been a day of heavy rain and indeed, snow showers, interspersed with bright bursts of sunshine. This painting is based on the kind of scene we had as the low evening sun found a break in the heavy clouds, setting the hillsides alight with colour.
